The Cutest Sound

You may remember that in my one-month letter to Ellie, I described her sneeze moan. This is probably the cutest thing that a baby has ever done in the history of ever, if I do say so myself. For whatever reason, when she sneezes, she lets out the sweetest little moan afterwards, like she's just very upset about this whole sneezing thing. She doesn't seem to mind hiccups, coughing, yawning, or spitting up - but for some reason, the sneezes just get her.

Obviously we felt something this cute must be preserved on film, but Ellie sure was stubborn about it. We've been trying for weeks to get this moan on video, but she just would not sneeze whenever the camera was on. And as soon as we turned it off or got distracted, the sneezes would fly. What a stinker.

But today, we were victorious! Eric is on his way to Minneapolis for a work thing, but my mom is here with me this weekend while he's away and she managed to do the impossible. She had the good idea to videotape some of my interaction with Ellie on the changing table, when she was smiling and cooing and being generally adorable. And lo and behold, a sneeze! And a double moan! And the camera was rolling! It's a miracle!!!
