We started with the Lighted Boat Parade the Saturday following Thanksgiving. We were able to see the parade from Friendship Fountain, which is just a short walk from our house. We walked out there with the kids to see a bit of the parade, then Eric went back later to catch the post-parade fireworks (while the kiddos slept snug in their beds).

We also had a fun evening outing to see the Christmas tree at the Jacksonville Landing. We rode the train out to the Landing, hung out by the tree for a bit then rode home. Ellie was a little spooked by the tree (because...obviously?), so she clung to Eric a bit at first., but otherwise enjoyed the rest of the evening.

On New Year's Day, we went out to the beach to see the Deck the Chairs display: Christmas lights on lifeguard chairs! We enjoyed wandering through the park and seeing all the different themed lights. Ellie also enjoyed dancing to the Christmas music!

There were definitely some fun holiday things to do around Jacksonville! We didn't get to nearly everything we wanted to, which is a great problem to have. That just means our to-do list for next Christmas is already started!
