Good Day!

Today is a good day, for two reasons!

First of all, today is the day of birth of my cousin/friend/second-sister Molly. Molly is one of the coolest people ever. In addition to just being all-around awesome, lately she has been gracefully enduring my many, many questions as I plan our Europe trip. She has been to Europe more than anyone I know, so naturally she's my go-to person. Thanks, Molly! Also, I've mentioned her insane packing skills before, so that will be another thing I'll have to have her tutor me in before our travels.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Molly! Hope you have a great day!

In other news of May 15, 2009, my dad is coming to visit today! He will be in our apartment by lunch time. Hopefully the weather will hold up this weekend - please, no rain! Last time he was here, it was cold and rainy, so I would like to show him some better conditions this time around. I'm not sure what all we will do yet...maybe walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, maybe see a show, maybe explore Central Park, who knows? But I do know it will be great to have him here!

In honor of Dad's visit, I'll share these spring pictures of bleeding hearts with you. I took these last week in front of the dog park where we take Achilles. My dad planted some bleeding hearts in our backyard in Cleveland, and ever since, they always make me think of him. I even picked off a couple of his bleeding hearts (don't tell him!) and pressed them in my Bible before we moved, so I still have them today. Aren't they just precious?

I hope you all enjoy your weekend!
